i don't think so anon anyway the holes look to small to put a banana in each to size them. Is it a knuckle duster?

I can see it holds something sheesh but whats its function. Is it one of those thumb screw torture thingys Put your fingers in the holes then screw handle clockwise

Book clamp, in the days before book bags, this was invented to be used for carrying books.

Ok I was not thinking of that.I used a belt when I was a kid, came in handy as a weapon when you swung it over your head,as long as its was done up tight, lol
