We went into the Park we got halfway when confronted by this snake sunning itself next to the path we were walking. One more step and we would have been bitten so we turned round and went back to the guesthouse.

They say snakes are more frightened of us than we are of them ...Well I have never bitten a snake. lol .That looks like a big one.
It was a red belly black dieter I wasn't about to get out my tape measure looked to be just over a metre in length. But i did check in my bed under the covers before i got into it last night, just in case .
A snake is a snake!
I did a little research and found that this is a venomous snake.
