Premier Beattie resigns

So long Mr Beattie and thanks for the fish.

You were my local member for Paddington, your kids also went to Milton, and then played with my sons in combined school bands. Your sons went to Grammar with mine, rowed against us, and shared a common educational experience.

I think you did a good job, (the best you could, anyway)and I understand you must be tired. Your wife Heather also grew up on an Aboriginal Mission, the same as I did.
