Bought by Steve Ackerie of Stefan Hairdressing fame in 1988 from the world 88 Expo caught on fire in the early hours of this morning. The skyneedle has become a landmark for Brisbane. Stefan bought the Queensland Icon in 1988 from the World Expo88 Authority and had it reerected out the front of his West End Headquarters for all the people of Queensland to enjoy the nightly light show. It's unknown how the fire started but Stefan has vowed to repair the damage and make the needle bigger and better then before.

Rubber snakes has stopped the bird droppings on my courtyard, perhaps this can help the sky needle
