It's a plane for scrapping off the meat from the hide? Tanning stuff?

Too easy Johnno... It's a "draw knife" and Dieter really should get credit as it really is a plane.

Well, it looks like a set of handlebars from a pushbike to me....ok, a plane will do...but yes kevin it is a drawknife....well done....hmmmm...was that too easy?
