Three men missing for more than three weeks in heavy seas in the Torres Strait have miraculously been found alive.
A 38-year-old man, his 20-year-old son and 16-year-old nephew had been missing since April 17.
They were rescued by a helicopter crew after using their mobile phone to direct authorities to their five-metre dinghy, 17 nautical miles south-west of Murray Island.
The three experienced boaties had left their homes on the island more than three weeks ago to collect members of a rugby league team at Yorke Island, about 70km away, but failed to arrive.
A search was launched for the men but it was hampered by Cyclone Monica which produced heavy seas, rain squalls and winds of up to 30 knots. More here.... and here!
