Fireplace awaits guests to come and share its warmth and the nights silence and beauty. Origianlly designed for the teenagers to hang out, the Voodoo Lounge is an instant with the grownups, who gather and chat beside the fire. Brilliant! Later, we have the Birthday Mudcake out here too, but instead of putting sparklers ON the cake (how boring) I hand them out to everyone for a kiss on the cheek (to me, *cough). We stand and light them and sing Happy Birthday in our loudest voices. (Personally I hate it when people sing it so slowly it sounds like a funeral dirge, just awful and an instant depresser for the recipiant). Sing up and be cheerful! :)
