1. As the Celtic Manor Golf Resort is only a stones throw away from where I live (we can actually see some of the golf course from our window). We took the opportunity of going up to watch the ALL STAR golf tournament. Amongst alot of english actors which maybe wouldnt be known in Australia the most famous all round actors and actresses there playing were, Catherine Zeta Jones, Micheal Douglas and Haley osment (the young boy out of sixth sense). Great day and evening, as we also grabbed the opportunity to driving up to watch the stars walking into the hotel for the Gala Dinner. My son managed to get heaps of autographs and I managed quite a few photos.

2. Once a year on the bank holiday Monday the transporter bridge in Newport is open there gates to allow people to walk right over the top of it. A truely breathtaking experience. We could see for miles.

3. Went for a walk which we take once in a while along the goytre canal with our dog Frankie. Its just so tranquil and pretty there. This again is only a short drive away from us. I think myself so lucky that I live in such a beautiful country. Within a matter of half an hours drive in any direction there is so many lovely things and great places to explore, whether it be a walk in the countryside, a day at the beach or looking around castles, never time to be bored
