You just never know?

We had our own bit of sad news here this morning. A family friends little 10 yo girl pased away in the small hours of this morning. Tanika was her name born with a rare desease that was never properly diagnosed. she was unable to speak, walk or move any of her limbs. She ate via a catheter in her stomach as she couldn't eat in the normal manner. Her parents have cared for her 24 hrs a day at home and slept with her at the hospital each time she was admitted over the last 10 years. Shifts would be done in the household on a daily basis her Mother looking after during the day, her Father taking over after he came home from work. Then at night they would take turns at sleeping next to her. Their only child of which they tried to conceive for many years before Tanika was born. Life evolved within the house, no family holidays, her parents were rarely able to go out together as a couple on their own as a nurse would have to be hired to look after her for the few short hours they might be out for. Their whole lives have centred on the needs of this special little girl. Her funeral has been set down for Friday on the Gold Coast at this stage.
